FOUNDER, PRESIDENT & CEO
After about 20 years of leading successful telecom/technology product management of Fortune 500/Global 1000 Enterprises ($1B+), in 2008 Dave (Debjoyti) Roy (visit LinkedIn Profile) founded Global-i Consulting (predecessor of CONSULTY USA) in the Washington DC Metro area (Northern Virginia, USA). Dave relaunched Global-i as CONSULTY USA LLC by establishing the company in Dallas, Texas in 2017. Dave is the CEO & President of CONSULTY USA and is responsible for company strategy and manages company operations including sales & delivery of client projects across all geographies. Dave's work has foundationally shaped client growth across CONSULTY USA’s Transformation Services Portfolio.
Prior to founding Global-i, Dave was a Management Consultant for Burton Consulting Group (now Gartner Consulting) based in Salt Lake City area, where he worked on Enterprise CIO Projects related to IT, Mobility & Collaboration, Infrastructure & Services for Large US & Global Corporations (Chevron, BPH Billiton, etc.). Prior to this, Dave was with Fonality based in Los Angeles area, where he served as Head of Business Development, Marketing, Product Dev & Management for Fonality's MSP-based VoIP & Cloud Communications Portfolio for Voice, Data, Unified Communications, Contact Center, Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) Infrastructure, Apps, Devices and Endpoints. Prior to this, Dave worked as a Consulting Leader for British Telecom America's, BT Global Services Group based in Reston, Virginia and Plano, Texas on Enterprise CIO Projects for Large IT & Communications Infrastructure Transformations & Migrations (PEPSICO Worldwide). Prior to this, Dave was a Program Management Executive with Sprint-Nextel's Enterprise Development Group based in Reston, Virginia, where he was leading Sprint's technology investments IT Program Management across the business (pre-paid, post-paid & customer billing). Prior to this, Dave was a Product Management Executive with T-Mobile USA based in the Seattle area, where he was responsible for TMUS' Next-Generation Product Management & Development on IMS Networks. Prior to this role, Dave also led blue-chip product and service lines leading Product Management & Development for NEC America's OpenWorX Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) portfolio based out of Irving, Texas; Time Warner Cable's Business Class ISP based Voice, Data and Cable MSO portfolio based out of Herndon, Virginia; Nextel Communications' Direct Connect/Push-to-Talk Wireless Voice, Data, Video Messaging Portfolio based out of Reston, Virginia; and XO Communications' IP-based VoIP, Hosted PBX, Managed PBX, SIP Trunking, MPLS Portfolio based out of Reston, Virginia.
Dave has also consulted in multiple critical roles prior to founding Global-i, in the areas of ICT/IT Products & Infrastructure Transformations with Ameritech's Global Business Services (GBS) (now AT&T) based out of Southfield, Michigan; Sprint/Clearwire based in Reston, Virginia; Primus Telecom based in McLean, Virginia; Glenayre Technologies based in Duluth, Georgia; Terrestar Networks (SATCOM) based in Herndon, Virginia; Executone based in Troy, Michigan; Dana Corp (Automotive OEM) based in Toledo, Ohio; Columbia Gas (Utilities) based in Toledo, Ohio; City of Barberton (Government) based in Northeastern Ohio.
Dave holds an M.B.A. (with a focus in IT & Marketing) from University of Toledo (UT) and an M.A./M.P.A. (with a focus in Urban Studies & Public Administration) from University of Akron (UA) (both are Ohio State Universities in U.S.A.). Dave has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honors) from Delhi University in India.
Dave has appeared in the Media (Press, TV, Internet, Industry Shows and Print) over the years and Advises and Contributes on several prestigious local, national and global Chambers, Forums and Industry Groups on multiple Critical and Emerging topics from Next-Generation Technology Development to Public Policy.
